Description of Research: We are seeking a full-time AEOP intern for the newly renovated Biomanufacturing facility within DEVCOM CBC. This state-of-the-art facility is capable of executing bioprocess fermentations from the bench-scale through pilot-scale 1000 L fermentations. The DEVCOM CBC facility is the Army’s premier location for biomanufacturing initiatives utilizing synthetic biology and biological processes to produce materials and chemicals of need for the Department of Defense. Successful applicants will gain experience in all stages of fermentation processes from small-scale high throughput screens through the 1000L pilot-scale.

    The eCYBERMISSION Mini-Grant is intended to support teachers/program leaders as they implement eCYBERMISSION with their teams. Educators (formal and informal) of students in grades 6-9 are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to Title 1 schools and to those with underserved/ under-represented populations.
