For those pursuing a doctoral degree in a STEM discipline, the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) fellowship confers high honors upon its recipients, and allows them to attend whichever U.S. institution they choose. NDSEG Fellowships last for three years and pay for full tuition and all mandatory fees, a monthly stipend and up to $1,000 a year in medical insurance (this excludes dental and vision insurance). LEARN MORE

COVID-19 Update

The Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) and all its programs adhere to guidance from local authorities on coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, precautions. Please note that these preventive measures and policies may be different for individual programs and/or sites. Be sure to check the program website for additional information. The decision to participate in any AEOP-related activity or program includes your agreement to comply with any COVID-specific protocols. However, there is no guarantee that one cannot be infected by such disease regardless of the preventive measures and policies set forth.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:
I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and I understand the risks involved in my participation in the AEOP program. I voluntarily assume such risk that I may be exposed to or infected with COVID-19 by attending the AEOP program. I understand that the risk upon traveling to and from the venue, or attending the program due to acts, omissions, or negligence of others resulting to exposure to COVID-19 that may lead to personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I assume all the foregoing risks and accept responsibility for any illness, injury, damage, loss, or claim of any kind, that I may incur.

LIABILITY WAIVER:
I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless AEOP, Battelle, and AEOP Consortium members and partners, their employees, agents, and representatives, from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to COVID-19. I voluntarily waive any claim I may have against these entities for injuries, damages, or illnesses I may sustain as a result of my participation in any AEOP program. Such waiver is binding upon the heirs, assigns, successors, and legal representatives whom I may have.

MY OBLIGATION:
For the benefit and care of others, I am aware of my responsibilities to notify AEOP if I eventually tested positive for COVID-19, or if I suspect to believe that I have contracted the disease. In case I have a pending test result, I will notify immediately AEOP as soon as the result comes out.
