The Aviation and Missile Center (AvMc) GEMS program is based on a multidisciplinary educational curriculum, and is focused on age/grade-appropriate hands-on activities in areas such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computational science, physics, optics, robotics, chemistry, and others.

Eligibility Requirements

Students who are currently in grades 6th – 11th, who are U.S.citizens with a valid SSN are eligible to apply for AvMc GEMS.

Qualifiers: Students who will be 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th graders on or before June 1st, are eligible for the AvMc GEMS program. Students who are currently 12th graders that will graduate before June 1, are not eligible to apply for the GEMS program and should consider applying for the High School Apprenticeship program.

More Information

Students receive a stipend to participate in this one-week program. The 2024 stipend amount for all GEMS participants is $125.
