Title: Chemist

Locations: DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center – Biomanufacturing Branch – Gunpowder, MD

Description: US Army DEVCOM CBC, Biomanufacturing Branch seeks a Chemist with at least 1 year of experience in small molecule purification and analysis. This position involves various skillsets related to both small molecule downstream processing (i.e., spray dryer, lyophilization, centrifugation, separation chromatography, distillation, filtration, etc.) and analytical chemistry (GC/MS, HPLC, NMR, etc.) and requires dedicated problem-solving/keen attention to detail. In addition to designing and executing isolation processes, the successful applicant will possess a demonstrated aptitude and experience for working both independently and in collaboration with other team members, as this position can span multiple disciplines including biologists, chemists, chemical engineers, material scientists, etc.

Levels:

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree – 0-1+ years of laboratory research experience
• Graduate  – 2+ years of laboratory research experience
• PhD – 4+ years of laboratory research experience
