Words of Advice?

Even if you think you aren’t interested in STEM, AEOP programs are worth a try. Programs such as GEMS and Camp Invention promote creativity and make all parts of STEM interesting. There are also many rewarding competitions that can introduce you to many STEMrelated careers.

Best Things about the Program?

In eCYBERMISSION, my team went to the National Judging and Educational Event. The mentors there were willing to help me learn, and they inspired me to strive for a career in STEM. At eCYBERMISSION Nationals, all the teams were given the opportunity to meet with their state senators and representatives. My team pitched our idea to a senator and a representative, and they both were very encouraging. GEMS and Camp Invention provided many fun hands-on activities that kept us engaged while we learned.

How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?

Participating in AEOP inspired me to advance in the STEM field because I was able to meet many successful people with careers in STEM, especially at eCYBERMISSION Nationals.

Who is Your Favorite STEM Role Model? Why

I admire Rosalind Franklin because she was a determined female scientist who made significant contributions to the understanding of the structure of DNA.

If You Could Meet One Person Living or Dead, Who Would You Choose? Why?

I would choose to meet Ramanujan because he was a genius who knew many things about number theory.
