I am currently a high school junior in the Science and Technology program at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. I plan on studying computer science when I go to college, and I am currently a part of The Knowledge Society x Amazon Ahead. Next year, I also plan to do research at NOAA.

Words of Advice?

I would advise future AEOP participants to always ask questions if they need help because people are always willing to help! I also recommend they step out of their comfort zones and explore the different opportunities that are provided.

How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?

I participated in GEMS in the 7th grade. The program was very interactive, and I was able to meet a lot of new people. I liked how they showed us that STEM can be fun and we can incorporate it into our everyday lives.

Who is your favorite STEM role model? Why?

My favorite STEM role model is Kimberly Bryant. She created an organization, Black Girls Code, to introduce minorities like me to computer science.

What are your future hopes and dreams?

My hopes and dreams for the future are to have a career in the field of cybersecurity and to help make a change in the communities around me.
