Tell Me About your AEOP Experience.
Morgan State University’s Summer Academy of Actuarial and Mathematical Sciences (SAAMS) program allowed me to receive individual mentorship from Morgan State University students, professors, as well as working professionals in the actuarial science field.
Over the course of SAAMS, I not only gained valuable insights into actuarial science as a potential career path but also learned essential mathematical concepts to help prepare for the Financial Mathematics certification exam.
What's Something that has Surprised you about the AEOP Program?
I am passionate about female empowerment, intersectionality in relation to discrimination, and differences in gender norms around the world.
What are your Future Hopes and Dreams?
I plan to serve in the Army as an officer immediately after graduation and hope to be deployed to Korea.
What is Something you are Passionate about and Why?
The opportunity to live and learn with such a diverse and talented cohort for an entire summer was invaluable. The academic knowledge and interpersonal skills I gained were incredible.
What is the Best Piece of Advice you have Ever Received?
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
