Tell Us about Yourself

I am currently working at Johnson and Johnson Vision Care as a Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer II.

What AEOP program(s) did you participate in?

Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP)

Words of Advice?

Take the first step and you will never regret it. Every learning experience is valuable in some way. You may not yet know how, but it will absolutely come in handy in the future.

Best Things about the Program?

The best aspects of the program are the hands-on involvement of the mentors and the ample room to really try new ideas and troubleshoot solutions with real-time results.

How Participating in AEOP Inspired You to Advance in the STEM Field?

Participating in URAP gave me the experience I needed for continuing my own research, better defining my interests and narrowing down where I want to take my career.

Who Is Your Favorite STEM Role Model? Why?

I look up to all of the female engineers I work with. Every day they go through challenges as a female and they stand right back up and keep pushing toward success.

If You Could Meet One Person Living or Dead, Who Would You Choose? Why?

I think it would be Gandhi. He pushed for such a deep and meaningful message that has reverberated for years following his death.
