Fellowship Description
The incumbent will utilize programming and data visualization languages (e.g. Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI) and machine learning methods to identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality for analysis missions, organizational goals, and future planning. This will require gathering and storing raw data sets using appropriate processes and systems to support critical operational problems and/or decisions for organizational programs and initiatives. Studies will include processing, converting, and interpreting raw data into usable and actionable information and insight through the use of mathematical, computational, statistical, and scientific theories, methodologies, processes, algorithms and systems.
Requirements
- OPM Data Science series 1560 requires education at a recognized college or university in a pertinent curriculum.
- A pertinent undergraduate or graduate curriculum in data science, operations research, or business analytics.
- Programming and data visualization languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI)

eCYBERMISSION Grants
The eCYBERMISSION Mini-Grant is intended to support teachers/program leaders as they implement eCYBERMISSION with their teams. Educators (formal and informal) of students in grades 6-9 are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to Title 1 schools and to those with underserved/ under-represented populations.
