What AEOP program(s) did you participate in?

Research & Engineering Apprenticeship Program (REAP)

What are you doing now?

I am a High school Senior. I plan to study Environmental Engineering to develop productive and sustainable technologies.

What are the best things about the program(s) in which you participated?

What I liked about REAP was the application of what I learned to tangible substances. My understanding was tested each day and made me more productive and independent in the process. Also, the hands-on experience I had developed a passion in “green” technologies, prompting my desire to pursue Environmental Engineering.

Why are you excited to be on the AEOP Alumni Leadership Council?

It gives me the opportunity to reach out and ensure that students have positive experiences. I will be able to voice the students and connect with them to find ways to better their experiences while also attracting more students with a desire to enter the field of STEM.
