Can I apply if I am not a US citizen?
Most labs require US citizenship to be eligible to apply. Some labs accept Permanent Resident Aliens.Please see the “Locations” listing for details .

You must meet the minimum age requirement of the lab you are applying to by the start of the program.
Minimum age for all labs except AMRDEC and MRIID – 16 years
Minimum age for AMRDEC and MRIID – 17 years

Is housing provided for the program?
No, this is not a residential program. Housing is not provided. It is the responsibility of the student to acquire suitable accommodation, typically with friends or family members if they do not reside in the area surrounding the laboratory.

No, transport is also not provided. Students have to find their own transport to and from the lab. It is recommended that students consider commuting options before applying to a particular lab.
