The High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP), sponsored by the US Army Research Office, is a commuter program for high school juniors or seniors who demonstrate an interest in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) to work as an apprentice in an Army funded university research laboratory. HSAP is designed so that students can apprentice in fields of their choice with experienced scientists and engineers full-time during the summer or part-time during the school
year.
HSAP will begin accepting applications on 1 March 2010. The 2010 university laboratory sites have been identified and are listed on the
HSAP Locations page. Interested students should apply online by clicking the 'Apply Now' button on the menu and specify which universities/labs
they are interested in. All applications are due by 22 March 2010. Please note: HSAP is for commuting students only. It is NOT an in-residence program. No housing allowance or meal plan is provided. Please be sure to apply for only university laboratories that you are able to commute to daily.
